History
Format was founded in 2000 by Jacques de Lange, to provide professional, innovative and prompt solutions for interiors, including commercial fitouts and refurbishments.
The original trading name was Format Interiors. Later we adopted the umbrella name of Format, to include all four divisions of building, interiors, joinery and maintenance.
Since our formation we have grown and diversified our services. We have developed and honed our skills to become one of the most specialised commercial building contractors in the North Island.
Our commitment, from the outset, has been to provide outstanding service to our clients, and to exceed their expectations.
In 2002, we responded to client demand by forming a designated maintenance division. In 2004, we structured this division into a fully owned subsidiary, Maintain It Limited.
Format joinery division was formed to provide a total package of offerings to our clients. Joinery was initially a closely allied provider company to Format. Then Format took a shareholding and invested in their facilities. In 2008, we bought them and fully integrated their team and operation as our joinery division.
Key to Format’s service delivery has been our ongoing investment in operational assets and technology. The resulting state of the art, tools and hi-tech applications support our team to continually deliver the best at, any time, location, or situation.
Format now provides a complete 360-degree solution in specialist building, fitouts, joinery, and maintenance. The specialized nature of our services, and the total solution we provide, is part of our success story. We are proud of our work, and we continually strive to deliver more for our clients.
