Case Study - Confined Space

Confined Space For Building High-End Office With Warehousing

We were engaged by negotiation to convert an existing light commercial building, into a high-end office with warehousing. This project presented significant challenges, in the form of fully occupied neighbouring sites. The existing structural building perimeter walls, were also the boundary walls to neighbours on three sides. The front entry of building faced Mackelvie Street, with a significant gradient. High voltage critical overhead power lines ran very close to the planned new front wall of the building.

Scope of works included major structural demolition and alterations. The front end of building was to be extended, creating a basement car park. Precast stairs, and precast tilt panel boundary wall construction were required. The existing building needed a total re-roof.  The retained building components were to be completely refurbished. The existing building, and the newly added first floor level, required a total new fitout.

Client And Their Staff Were Ecstatic

The client and their staff were ecstatic with the new offices and warehousing. We have since completed many more successful projects for the client in a private and business capacity.
