Case Study - Tight Timeframe

Tight Timeframe In Challenging Weather Conditions

Format have been involved in the re-construction of sites for this NZX listed restaurant company, over a number of years. Timeframes for their contracts are normally very tight. Format has the resources and experience to ensure stores reopen on time. This Takapuna restaurant was a particularly challenging re-construction, as we had extremely wet weather for most of the construction period (more than double the normally high Auckland winter rainfall).

Construction In A Tent

Our site manager worked closely with the architect and the client’s project manager. We all knuckled down and put our efforts into getting the project completed in time for the grand opening. We constructed scaffolding right round the perimeter of the existing and new construction areas, with tarps over the building. This gave us the opportunity to construct the building within a tent like scenario.

Impressive Grand Opening

The grand opening of the new Takapuna restaurant was impressive. Format is proud of its long history with this client. We have completed projects nationwide for them and look forward to many more years of successful association.
